Hey All,
I have for sale a 3/4 (bigger than the little yamahas, but still probably not 4/4 size) Conn 12J in nickel plate.
It’s definitely worn cosmetically with dings and playing wear, but it’s definitely sound and fun to play. There’s some wear on the valves, and I use heavier oil like Herman 3 or Tromba to maximize compression. The tone is nice, and it’s been great to play for me as a bone doubler with Trad jazz and Balkan groups.
I’m not sure of the bore, but it’s on the smaller size, takes an American shank mpc (I’ve been using a wick 2, which I like), and it has a 16” bell.
It comes with a loved, rather oversized protect gold bag, and some tuning slide grease if you need it.
Asking $800 for it, and I’m happy to drive a couple-few hours from western Massachusetts to meet a buyer, but I don’t want to deal with shipping.
Definitely OBO, and if someone close by or a kid/student is interested, I would offer a good discount.
Pics to follow, but drop a line if you have questions!
Thanks all,
Riley
