Doing some research on a Benge 290

I have a friend in the Houston, TX area who will be looking to sell his Benge 290 bass. It is in very good shape, and will come with the original case. I haven’t found much out there to help him. He’s wanting to know a good asking price.

Thoughts?

$1500-$2500 is probably pretty reasonable depending on condition. For something that is less common than say, Bach 50 or Getzen or something it may be worth consignment somewhere like Brassark. I don’t think people are routinely searching for benge 290s but if they have one in shop May be perfectly happy to walk away with it
