[sold] The Elkhart Conn 88H has original lacquer as far as I can tell, but may have had some re-spray right over wear on the slide grip. It has had bell and tuning slide dings removed, but nothing I'd consider major damage. It is freshly cleaned. There is a ding in the slide crook, but it comes with a good Elkhart crook if you want it. The valve has new string and stoppers. The original slide springs are removed and in the older Protec case (Dietze Music House labeled, if there are any other current or former Nebraskans out there!). One inner has stocking wear, but not on the top? I don't think it has been rotated and suspect it will last a great while. Freshly cleaned and aligned. $1450 +shipping.
[sold] The 30H is mostly raw brass. It has had a decent bit of work, from what I was told, at BAC. I don't think the bell has ever been significantly damaged. I suspect a slide tube or two may have been replaced because the inners look great and one outer is redder than the other (could be the lacquer). The slide receiver is crooked (as pictured), but it almost looks intentional. It comes in a much more recent Conn case. This is a really neat horn--not sure why these fetch so much less than a comparable 6H. I'm pretty happy with my 32H and 24H, so I don't need all three. $400 +shipping.

Prices reduced! Great "back to school" horns for students needing a large tenor or jazz horn. Or both!
I am still on the hunt for DE LT cups and shanks (most any), a NICE tenor case or maybe a bag, and now, rather than a bass, basic bass trombone mutes (appropriate for the smaller throated 70H) (if any of those things seem like good partial trades).

Another price drop. No longer looking for DE mouthpieces, but I've downgraded my case needs from "NICE" to "about any." Accordingly, I'll also knock another $50 off of either of these if you don't need the case.

Another price drop. I think I'm good on cases now, too. I'm amazed at how little interest there is in these given what folks will pay for a 6H!

Paul's right. Do not underestimate a good Conn 30H!

I wonder if the weird receiver alignment is scaring folks. I've set it with a pair of older Conns because I'm going to run this up to the shop the next time I have than chance. But then, I may adjust the price in the other direction!

30h has a great warm sound. Sometimes it runs into trouble because of its very narrow slide. Closest thing to a 509 bore Conn ever made.
