Hi!

I'm on the lookout for a Large Shank Euph Reciever!

I just picked up a Besson New Standard Euph where someone modded the horn and took off the original Euro shank receiver. They instead soldered on a small shank adapter. It's funky. I'd like to return the horn to stock or put a Large shank receiver on instead.

Anyone have one lying around? Brand doesn't matter, though Besson or Yamaha would be the best fit. I'd even be interested in a Euro shank receiver from a Wilson or vintage Besson or Boosey and Hawkes horn!

Let me know what you guys have!

Thanks!
The ones I’ve seen with that done to them tend to have shorter leadpipes too. I have a ‘75 NS. Save yourself some grief and talk to Dan Oberloh up here in Seattle. He can make any part you need, and he’s probably got what you need in a drawer.
I noticed that the leadpipe was shorter! Mine is a 68' or 69'. When I first got the horn I thought someone cut the leadpipe then I noticed it was just soldered on and not cut.

Thanks for the advice! I'll contact Mr.Oberloh.

Dan is the expert on older Besson restorations. If it’s a medium shank era production horn, put that back on it. Good luck.
