My original plans for this horn were to make it moduar nd make a G(/F) attachment and straight neckpipe, but I've sinceacquired a King 3B+ and Shires 7YM8 bell, one slightly bigger than this and the other slightly smaller and I think they both suit my niche a little better... and my wife thinks I have too many trombones (the nerve, right!?).
This is a YSL356 slide. Condition is pretty good maybe 7 or 8 / 10? Moves smoothly, probably needs an alignment. Has a YSL354 leadpipe with a small ring to keep it from getting stuck. Slide has a saturn water key.
Neckpipe are new parts from Yamaha, mostly 356. The neckpipe part itself is the taper from the straight 356 model.
Tuning slide and bell are from the YSL548, although all medium & large bores have the same part number as far as I can tell. With the neckpipe, I prefer the tuning slide with the cross brace. I also have another tuning slide (from a YSL646) w/o crossbrace that's currently being used as a template for something in the shop but I can supply that one as soon as I get it back. Or sell it with this one. I won't need it after I don't have any Yamaha parts anymore.
The bell is really lightweight. Like, super light. You'll notice evidence of a dent. That has since been rolled out. You don't see it while playing, it's on the other side of the bell. I would be happy to give it a satin finish for no extra charge if you desired that. I can do any of the components, although I'd probably only recommend doing to the bell. Otherwise, the bell has a few minor imperfections throughout but the lacuqer is in pretty good condition.
I will not be charging as much as the comparable Nils Landgren model  I'm thinking $895 OBO

This does sound really interesting, but it's really hard for me to evaluate something like this.

I'm not particularly looking to play an f attachment, I don't think I need one. But I have quite a few questions(900$ is a huge amount of money for me as a recently homeless artist)
How would you describe the tone of this instrument? How does it play at upper and lower registers? Does it red line easily? How open is the blow?

How versatile do you think this would be for somebody playing a bunch of different genres? How does it solo?
