I've got a Wessex Super Tenor for sale for $500. It is a single valve, 9" bell, dual 547/562 slide instrument. The "super" part of the name means that it's part way to being a bass. The bell throat measures bigger than most large tenors. It plays well. The slide and valve are in good condition, tuning slides work well. Comes with original case and mouthpiece. Rose brass bell. Comes with 3 screw-in leadpipes, plays best down low with #3 pipe. Some small dents, but nothing big. ~92% lacquer (shiny).
I was going to use this as a project horn, but have decided to go a different way.
Email or dm.

Just a heads up OP, you need two more "approved" posts from a moderator before people can PM you. They can obviously see your email since you put it in plaintext but if you wish, you can make two more posts and others can see your email if they're logged in. We've had a few scammers lately and want to make sure that we put up some degree of friction to accessing contact information.

Thanks Matt! I'll just post on this thread if that works.

I bought a Coppergate bass trombone from Gear4Music in the UK a couple years ago. The horn is a King 7B clone. I'm a very part-time hobbyist player, and bass gets pretty limited attention. It works for me (virtual ensembles at home; every once in a while playing at church). It was under $400 shipped to the US. Looks like the price has gone up, but it would still be close to your $500 price point. <LINK_TEXT text="https://www.gear4music.com/us/en/Woodwi ... 4music/NYQ">https://www.gear4music.com/us/en/Woodwind-Brass-Strings/Coppergate-Intermediate-Bass-Trombone-By-Gear4music/NYQ</LINK_TEXT>

Thanks Doug, but unfortunately I am located in the US and it doesn't ship over here. The price is right, though!

I'm sure he'll ship if you ask. It'll put an extra $100 on it but it would still be cheap even then?.. Doug

They could ship to me and I'll ship it out? This is sounding like I'm persuading you to buy the thing... I'm not. They are alright for what they are but I'd rather spend the same amount on an old, even beaten up pro horn myself... anyway as they say "its the thought that counts"!

There's a fairly clean looking Schiller going for $500 on facebook marketplace. It's an independent two valve horn. Looks to be located near me in Cleveland, TN
