I'm looking to have parts removed off one trombone/stitched onto another, valve replacement, re-alignment etc. Does anyone recommend someone nearby Fort Wayne, IN to do such work?

I know Dana Hofer does great work, but i'd like to try to keep in closer than 4 hours away. My tech in Fort Wayne decided not to do it because of the difficulty of my request, although she's phenomenal and I recommend her for simple conversions, repairs, & cleaning etc.

Thank you in advance for your leads!

Just curious, but what are you looking to have done?

There are not really that many places I can think of nationwide that do those kinds of modifications regularly. I live in NJ, and only know of two or three in the NYC metro area that do real mods and full custom work.

Did you talk with Sam Gnagy? He may know some slide experts.

My name is Dave Paul, I'm a brass tech that has worked in the industry for quite a few years. I've done both repair and manufacturing work, including assembly work at Shires for several years.

I'll be moving to Fort Wayne shortly and working at the main Sweetwater location doing brass repair work for customers and schools. I'd be interested in meeting with you to show you some past work I've done and talk about what you're looking for, if you haven't found a tech to do this work yet.
