Not sure if I'll regret selling this one... But I haven't been using it lately.

Shires TW47GX Slide. With springs in it (ala vintage Conn 88H). Action is really nice, I've been using Yamaha slide snot with it. Pretty sure the X has something to do with it being more Bach like. I haven't seen a slide like this before, if you know more about this slide, please share!

It gives a really lovely Bach sound with a little extra colour with the gold tubes. Includes a Shires 2.5 leadpipe. It works really nicely with my greenhoe Bach valve/bell. To my ear, sounds better than my standard Bach slide, but the Bach slide is more comfortable for me to play on. :idk:

Slight lacquer wear near the right hand grip.

But it's been a couple months since I've played on it and with more gear accumulating, something's got to go.

$950 shipped to Canada/USA. Slide is located in East Coast Canada.

I think it's been made 3 since the last dustup. Try again.

FYI, the X means that it has a Bach receiver. It will make a good friction fit and match the threads of a Bach bell section, not a Shires bell section. If you want to buy it for a Shires, changing that receiver out is a very easy modification.

I'm not sure if that is the case with this slide or if the tenon has been changed again at some point back to a Shires. But checking it against a Shires bell and a Bach bell, the threads are close for the Bach but work well with the Shires. This particular slide also played quite differently than a standard TW47G I had side by side as well. But that may very well have been just a difference in the two slides and nothing to do with the X marking. :idk:

The receiver may very well have been changed. I've had several B62 slides that have all been subtly different.
