Anybody know of a manufacturer who makes a quality inexpensive lead pipe pouch?

One inch PVC pipe with end caps works great. Inexpensive and solid protection.

That's much better than any pouch you'll find. Make it short enough so the pipe doesn't have too much room to rattle from end to end in it. Or add some kind of "bumper" to the end caps. Depending on what you have, 3/4" may work better for you. I use the same approach when I store my tuba and euph valves for long periods.

That’s what I use. I put dense foam into the endcaps. I also found that drilling a small hole in the endcaps helps equalize air pressure so you don’t get the vacuum-lock effect.

Great idea. Will have to do that.

Yeah, I believe I was mistaken when I said 1", 3/4" would be a better fit.
