The young Spanish singer, trombonist and composer Rita Payés is the second exceptional talent from Barcelona joins the WDR Big Band after Andrea Motis. Coming up in the Sant Andreu Jazz Band (Joan Chamorro's talent factory), Rita Payés has had a stellar career, not only in her home country. Her recipe for success: a balanced mix of original pieces, jazz standards and influences from Spanish folklore.

I think only the older jazz players in the group would understand when I say that Rita Payes "has old ears". Great ideas.
