I have owned a PHD mouthpiece earlier.. Very strange!!.. Flat rim and veeery tight throat /backbore.. Had some Nice sound features but overall, a bit too "strange"..How is this one? Cup shape? Throat, backbore?

THis is a very deep large shank mouthpiece . Similar depth and shape of a Greg BlACK NY 2. The rim is a Giardinelli 2G. It is a Semi ROund to Round rim. Pics are on Facebook, The Trombone Marketplace and Mouthpiece Trading Post.I will send pics to anyone who wants them or try to post some here later. THe Throat and backbore are open. THis might have been designed to be a EUphonium mouthpiece. IDK. Apparently this was from the Collection of a Deceased Trombonist in the Philly area. Larry Todd , I believe. There was quite a few of his items FS on EBaY a while back. There are no markings on the PHD cup to designate a model number.

Thanks ! How does the cup depth compare to a Bach 2G ? I have not seen a Greg Black 2 NY for comparison.. Will an Elliot 106 rim fit ?

Thanks ! Trond

H9 SHANK. Sold

PHD MPCE. Sold

An XT 106 rim would fit but not perfectly. It hung over the cup slightly. 2G depth? I don't currently have a 2G so I can't answer.
