After a long and distinguished career, His Lowliness is now enjoying his well-deserved retirement here in the City Different (Santa Fe, New Mexico). Now that he is free from the demands of his former position with the St. Louis Symphony, Gerry informs me that he plans to spend at least as much time hiking, campIng, and exploring the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains with his lovely wife Elizabeth as he will spend maintaining his formidable chops and recording pet projects at our local recording studio, The Kitchen Sink.

Gerry is a fantastic player. I have to say that as a tuba player, his recording of the Vaughan Williams concerto is one of my favorites. Not just one of my favorite bass trombone recordings, one of my favorite recordings ever.
