Selling my euphonium as it hasn’t been played on in over 6 months. I love this horn, it’s killing me to list it but i want someone to play it and not sit in a corner. I used it everyday for 3 years until i switched to play trombone primarily. It’s in very good condition, just been cleaned and i’ll post another set of pictures once i polish it. Come with original case

Looking for $3500

Would you consider a really nice bass trombone in trade?

Interested. I’d love to have an instrument like this in my life. Can you send me the pictures? I haven’t posted enough on here or something. It says I can’t view any pictures. I’ve been lurking for quite some time :)

It's something you can add to your stable at some time in the future. Some high schools are asking the trombonists to march with valved instruments (marching trombone or baritone) since it's safer (less chance of damage) with an instrument with no unretained parts.

Used valved instruments are often available pretty cheap. I don't recommend starting one until you have some experience with your slide.

thanks for the feedback Bruce, I think its interesting the take schools are assuming on the "Mr. Safety" side of things. Back in the day when I was in marching band, both high school and college, everyone knew to look out for the trombone players slides. I only recall ever seeing one 'get loose' from its normal place in all that time and it didnt result in personal injury except to the guy playing the instrument having to get his slide reworked after the outer slide tumbled down thru the bottom of the bleachers thru the support structure clanging as it fell. The results for the slide were pretty bad and for the guy I am sure expensive to repair. I never found out if the slide was ever the same after that. I guess this move is the result of our overly litigious society. Oh well, times change.
