Hey all, for sale is a King 5B built approximately in 1976 (serial number 6618xx). Yellow-brass 9-inch bell, .547 bore nickel-silver outer slide with yellow-brass slide crook. The instrument was cleaned inside and out and rotor restrung. As you will see in the photos, the bell had a crease that was repaired at some point in its life. Some miscellaneous small pings on the bell and gooseneck. Lacquer is in pretty good shape. The slide has good action. Alignment is good and action is probably an 8 out of 10. Comes with the original case.

The 5B is the notorious, "Hey George Szell, here is my German trombone in disguise" played by the Cleveland Orchestra in the 1960's - 70's. Big broad sound and does not project like a Bach. Yes, it's a tenor, but some people will use a 2G mouthpiece and use it for playing bass in a jazz setting. If that works for you, great.
