This post got me to dive into my mouthpiece drawer and dig out the Bousfield Signature S5 that I acquired during the pandemic (and had only play-tested once). I used it on a large-bore trombone (8H equivalent) at an orchestra rehearsal this week. It really is a very nice mouthpiece, with few if any negatives. I'll be playing it a lot more with my large bore trombones!
Apparently Bousfield has endorsed even newer designs than the original "Signature" series (S5, S4, and S). Not quite sure why he moved on - the S series is already great. Are the new ones even better?

It depends on the person, but I liked the griego busfield lineup better. The rim is thicker than the "Signature" series, griego bousfield v4 has a rounded rim, and griego bousfield c4 has a flat rim. Also, griego bousfield v4 is deeper than the signature series, and griego bousfield c4 is a little deeper than that.

The Signature Bousfield was a line he developed and made with Denis Wick before he switched over to Griego. I believe he designed his V, O, and C line when his Getzen signature trombone launched.
