Howdy,
I've got a not-pretty-but-player level 158 for sale. This is the Holton 88H-sized instrument with 9" bell in red brass. Nickel slide with brass crook like other Holtons, but narrow like the 88H as well as 88H pattern tuning slide.
Just had the horn worked over by John Sandhagen, including total rebuild of the slide and crook, rework of the valve knuckle, and straightening out of the bell. Slide is a 7/10, rotor works great (and blows better than my previous 258, by my count).
Plays like a big 88H, has a similar blow but broader sound from the 9"- great trombone for playing principal parts.
$700 plus shipping includes the original case.
