I'm waiting for a Wick 5ABL to arrive to try with my King 5B. Has anyone used one and what is your opinion of it as an all around mouthpiece allowing for both high and low range?

I played the 5ABL for a while with my 42.
Comfortable rim.
Solid low register.
Upper register is fine.
My sound tended towards a dark orchestral type of sound.
I thought it was a bit heavy for the wind band that I play in so it went back in the box.
That was the classic version.
I haven't tried one but the heritage version may be different

I remember Denis saying he designed it for Hellen Vollum (BBC Symphony Orch) who he started to teach when she was about 12/13 , he changed the backbore on the 5AL, if I have misremembered someone will correct me.
