WTB: Gig bag for flugabone

I've got a King flugabone that has its original case. The case is great for storage but clunky for transporting on the rare occasions I play the horn outside the house (e.g., church, nursing home volunteering). Before I get a new Cronkhite gig bag, does anyone have one they are looking to get rid of?<ATTACHMENT filename="flugabone.jpg" index="0">[attachment=0]flugabone.jpg</ATTACHMENT>

Do they make gig bags for flugabones? If not, it may fit in a bag made for tenor horn or baritone.
If you need measurements, we have one of each in the house.

I stumbled across the Cronkhite advertisement for a flugabone gig bag on reverb. The Cronkhite website also lists it ([url]https://glenncronkhite.com/product/flugabone). I already own a pro-tec baritone bag (it replaced the original case on my ~1920's baritone that sat in the basement for a couple years and picked up mold). It's pretty big. The flugabone is roughly 24"x12"x10."

I've heard that a bongo bag works pretty well. Not a lot of cushion, but you could probably add something if needed/wanted. If you have a guitar center near you I would take the horn there and test out different bags.

I know Luke Malewicz bought one when he had a flugabone, but I'm not sure which one he bought. Maybe he'll see this and chime in.

I have the Cronkhite flugabone bag, it's hard to imagine anything else would fit the instrument as well.

The Protec PB322 marching baritone case is what I use, it’s very protective of the instrument (much more so than a typical gig bag), relatively inexpensive, light weight, and a very good fit. It is, however, almost as bulky as what you already have.
On edit: My horn in the above case weighs 11.6 lbs.

Sounds like the Cronkhite will be the choice to make once my musical instrument funds recover from getting an oboe for my daughter. I was able to find a $15 pro-tec p-bone gig bag that fits. The scenario is transporting both flugabone and hammered dulcimer. Putting the flugabone over my back or shoulder simplifies the logistics.

This is going to sound funny, but any reason you couldn't use a trombone gig bag? The protect max gig bag should be okay. Really anything that suspends the bel so that it doesn't fall around should suffice. And would be cheaper than getting something specifically fit for the flugabone.

Quite a reasonable suggestion. I bought a Fusion gig bag from these classifieds a couple years ago. I find it to be quite clunky with the flugabone. But as you say, there could be other options that are less clunky and also less expensive.

I have a tenor horn fusion bag that I used to use for flugabone before I got a Cronkite case for mine. It fits the bell well, and there’s some extra room for show clothes and music/mouthpieces as well.

I got the Soundwear Eb tenorhorn bag (the straight english version, they also sell a "tenorhorn" bag that's for an oval rotary german instrument), it's a pretty perfect fit and it's a really nice and very protective bag. I got mine on UK ebay from a vendor who had overstocked them and it was dirt cheap.
