I might someday regret selling this. But I don't reach for this horn very much these days anymore and it really should be played.

N series Elkhart 60H from 1970. In excellent condition. I'm the second owner and have owned it for about 10 years or so. Owner before me was meticulous and this horn has never seen any trauma. Lacquer is in great shape. There is a ring of lacquer wear at the mouthpiece receiver. Lacquer around the neck area is still present but looks a bit odd? Tried to picture it. Not really sure why it looks that way. Previous owner used to use pledge to keep the lacquer shiny.

TIS works great. Slide action is quite good. Smooth and quick. F attachment slide is good. Valve works great. String was replaced recently.

The sound is exactly what you would expect from a 60H. Huge sound and can really get some really nice bite if you want. I've used it in brass quintet, smaller orchestras, brass trio, and big band. Works great almost all of the time!

I would honestly play it more if it ergonomically worked better for me. The ax handle (included in sale) helps, but if it's a long session I have to use an ergobone. A second valve would also make me use it more but this one is too nice for me to consider modifying it.

Tiny marks/ding around the ax handle area. Not sure where they came from, but it is so shallow I can barely even feel them. Tried to get it on a picture.

Includes the original case in good condition, pictures ax handle, and silver plated Conn 3B mouthpiece (Remington shank).

$3200 USD + shipping. Horn is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. No trades unless it is a non-chinese contra with cash added on my end.
