I still want to buy another Shires 11C. The last deal did not work out.

Let me know.

There are two pretty distinct "flavors" of Shires 11C. Both versions are worth checking out!

There's the original, which I believe was made in Taiwan. It has knurling on the ridges above the shank, and is marked Vintage 11C.

The current version is made by Pickett in Kentucky. There's no knurling, and it's marked USA 11C. Some minor tweaks were done for this one, including (I believe) a slight shaving of weight around the cup.

Neither version is a particularly good example of an 11C. The rim diameter feels more like a 6 3/4C. I found the original to be a little more "zippy" - very good for big lead stuff. The newer one (from what I recall), was a cleaner sounding piece. Less of the zip, but maybe a little easier feeling flexibility.
