Amazing story....

About 4 years ago I sold my YSL-691 508 bore jazz trombone to a member of my group iTromboni for $800.00 when I bought the newer Wycliffe 891 model.

Recently we went on a tour with 27 concerts and I was asked if I might use my old horn for these shows because the colleague I sold it to was driving and I was flying. I said reluctantly OK...

When the horn was presented to me the #1 lead pipe was in it and kinda stuck so I just played it that way but with my new mouthpiece, it really sang. Griego 6B for the interested parties. Long story short... I need to have this trombone and its #1 leadpipe.

Does anyone have one gathering dust? Would trade my 891Z for a reasonable amount of cash plus the horn if anyone is interested. Hoping for something in great condition.

Cheers,

Neal Bennett

I got a 691 w #1 and 3 lead pipe. It’s lived a life of being played. Finish loss at grab points. It’s gathering dust. I would sell outright.

Yeah I noticed. The ask is way over market value though... Maybe they'll come down a bit.

Would depend on condition... What's the slide like and what are you looking at as a price?

I really am looking for a fairly mint specimen in terms of action. The lacquer is less important though.
