I am selling a Conn 76H medium bore trombone

.522" bore

8,5" yellow brass bell

yellow brass handslide, gooseneck and tuning slide.

slide crook is made of nickel silver

slide has no chrome loss

slide action is 9,5 out of 10

horn has been ultrasonically cleaned and is dent free.

slide is laquered

bell section is unlaquered

this is a very rare horn, a fantastic playing medium bore which is very versatile.

It is engraved 76H Conn Century. Indeed rare - I have never seen one of these. Seems to be similar to a 78H, but with a slightly larger 8½" vs. 8" bell. Was it marketed as an "intermediate" model?

Do you know when it was manufactured? (Perhaps early 1980s?) Serial number?

Does it's slide fit an 8H or a 78H?

They had a shorter .522 slide, like the 74, 75, and 50H. "Century" referred to its production marking 100 years of Conn manufacturing. So yes, early 1980's.
