Should I buy a King 2b Silver Sonic?

I have been searching for a good jazz horn for a while now and of course, I have seen the 2b pop up just about every time I do a search. I recently happened to come across one and they were willing to accept $1300 for it. I can test it but didn't have a mouthpiece, but the slide is 9/10, and it feels like it just needs some cream to be perfect. It's a Silver Sonic from 1954 and here are some pictures in a google drive folder.

Is this a horn worth getting for $1300?

That's a pretty good price. If you like it, you need something in this size, it's in good shape, and it plays well, nab it!

I sold a 3BGSX about 10 years ago for that price. That’s a good price in 2022 for sure. Silver can sometimes be heavy for a commercial horn but that’s about the only potential downside. Lots of people love them

If you have experience with such a small bore, good chops and playing much in the upper register there is a chance this will be a good horn for you.
Look for wear at the inner slides, find out about its intonation.
I had some very good 2B SS and also a very bad one with severe intonation problems
