Sold: Holton TR185 Bass Trombone

For sale is a Holton TR 185 bass trombone. There are some minor dings in the bell and wear on the slide stockings, but it plays great and makes a completely captivating bass trombone sound.

$1,700 shipped in the U. S. without a case. For an extra $200 I will include a brown leather Chronkhite gig bag.

Looks like the stock Holton to me. They had those goofy knuckles that made them work in that position.

Size difference in the pictures looks like an artifact of the digital photography, not an actual difference to me.

I don’t know for certain, but I think it’s stock. I bought the horn from Dillon’s and didn’t ask too many questions. If I’m being honest, I wasn’t very aware of the mystique of these horns at the time. I just really liked the way it played.
