Hi All.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I could buy a push fit or unfitted Leadpipe for a Conn 88H. It’s actually for an Elkhart slide that doesn’t have a Leadpipe fitted. I don’t mind using a standard modern pipe. The push fit ones will work, BUT, I’ve tried fitting a pipe designed for an SL slide and it doesn’t work.

I know this is a dark art, so any advice / experience you can share will be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

You can get them new from Hickeys for like $30 iirc.

Just looked at the Hickey’s website. New leadpipe is $48, but that does not include shipping, the collar and installation of the collar. The shipping and collar stuff can easily add up to another $25-30 or more. That route may not be as economical as it first appears.

This is to go to England. May not be as outrageous as you think.

Just dawned on me I have a set of them for a large bore. They have the collars but they ought to be easy for a tech to remove. I can sell them below MSRP and ship to UK no problem. I only played them a handful of times before selling my 547. Might be good to try a few loose and have your tech put in the one you want. Feel free to pm or email and I can get you some info on shipping.

Here is the link to Hickey's Music in Ithaca, New York, USA. I was mistaken about their price. The MSRP is $48 but Hickey's price is several dollars less. Still, you will need to keep the additional expenses of shipping, and finding/installing a collar in mind. Best of luck on this!
