I’ve recently been looking into getting my first jazz horn. And I’ve taken an interest to the King 2B and 3B. It sounds very much like they fit my style and what I’m shooting for. However I don’t just want to buy a horn without playing one first. Does anyone know of a place I could try out one of those horns in the Chicago area? I would assume there has got to be a place because that’s practically jazz headquarters<EMOJI seq="1f602" tseq="1f602">😂</EMOJI>

Go out to Horn Stash in Palatine. Nice folks. I just checked their website, and they have both 2bs and 3bs. Some new, some used. Also, check out their conn 70h for fun. They also have a nice recital hall to try out horns.
