For sale: Yamaha 682B (Bousfield) valve section set-up to fit Edwards standard trombones. $1200 OBO

This is an original (and rare) Yamaha Bousfield valve section. The design is Yamaha's copy of the Minick Three-Port valve, which they produced for only a year or two in the mid '90s.

This section has been thoroughly customized. It has: the bore through the valve opened to match the bore size of the rest of the instrument (the Yamaha designers stupidly choked it way down); a positive taper gooseneck; the lever reversed to the way most trombones are set up (and retrofitted with Du-Bro ball/sockets and a wood lever); Edwards trim rings installed on the tuning slide end tubes; the entire section "frozen" cryogenically at Osmun Brass. Excellent condition and ready to put onto your Edwards bell and tuning slide. Lacquer is 95%. Plays big and round with lots of color and projection.

Price is $1200 OBO shipped in CONUS. Anyone outside the CONUS will have to pay shipping.
