Here is a historic bass sackbut, handmade by Tony Esparis in 2018.
This instrument is based on the Georg Nicolaus Oller bass sackbut (c.1640) and is made from rolled and brazed sheet brass, scrapped finish with full hand engraving after the original. Pitch is A=440 in key of F. Included is an A=440 Eb tuning slide and a A=465 tuning slide, also fully engraved. I had the original inner and outer slide tubes replaced by Brad Close with new chrome plated inners/brass outers by Jurgen Voigt which greatly improved the slide action. There is no water key, as per original specs. The bell is in the historic 4th position.
The instrument is unlacquered raw brass. $3800 with mouthpiece, without case. Sold as is. Buyer pays shipping
