Downloading and playing

I have a Windows 10 Dell laptop. I use Firefox. I wish to download audio and video files from Youtube, Rumble and some podcasts, then put them on a USB stick and play them in my F150 Ford truck. The truck will play sound files and videos when you are parked. Videos play the sound when you drive.

I am running into conflicts with Youtube not allowing downloads and figuring out a file format to convert to. I tried several thing several months ago and gave up.

Wondering if anyone here knows of a good software to download with and what format would work in the Ford truck.

If you use Chrome there is an extension called Chrome Audio Capture that lets you do an audio recording of whatever is playing in Chrome. I have used this to convert YouTube videos to audio file.

For downloading from YouTube, I use Firefox with the Easy YouTube Video Downloader Express extension.

<LINK_TEXT text="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... -download/">https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/easy-youtube-video-download/</LINK_TEXT>

Download as an mp4. I've found that I can open the mp4 in Audacity and then export as an mp3 when I just want audio.

Can't help you with Rumble or podcasts.

Seems the YouTube Video Downloader Express extension will not allow Youtube videos to play as Youtube has something in the file that keeps it playing in the F150 sync system.

I have heard there are software programs that download from YOutube that let you play the videos.
