Full disclosure these two are my buddies...

I wanted to share this for a few reasons. I think Achilles has found a really great instrument. It's very different than his Bach!

I played a gig with Achilles a few weeks ago for an album release and he just sounded great... playing timba, salsa, and soul.

And finally this piece by Carolina is so so great. Achilles makes it sound easy, but I'm thinking this is something for the very advanced player. Really a show stopper.

Bach to Conn to Shires?

In any case, he's a fine trombonist!

He probably sounds great on everything!

Heard him with Canadian Brass recently - still playing the Conn - and he sounded great.

Didn't seem to hold him back obviously!

Interesting that the Shires website doesn't list him yet. He's obviously playing their horn.
