What is a good group calendar app for a big band? We use Google groups for email, but that doesn't have a shared calendar feature. Bonus points if it is a free app/website.

Are you simply trying to publish a calendar? If so then Google calendar is a good choice. You can create a specific calendar for the band and make it publicly readable.

I am using the Konzertmeister App with four different bands.
It has pretty good features for planning rehearsals, gigs etc.
The basic/light version is free and usually sufficient for a Big Band.
With our symphonic orchestra we use the professional version.
Works with iOS and Android.

Thanks. We futzed around with the settings on a band gmail account and google group enough to where I think everyone is happy now.

The BAND app is free in the google app store and the apple app store. It works great and has all the features you are asking about and it's FREE! I currently use it with a small group and 2 big bands.

Jepp, BAND is a quite good solution. I use it with two big bands.

It works via App, in a browser, and does offer a desktop version, too.
