Free chart I just dug up. The audio is from when I was 17 years old, and the sheet music was me thinking it was cool to use weird time signatures.
Anyways, this one is kind of fun to play in a huge space like a church or grain silo...

Nice- thanks for sharing, Harrison!!
If you ever find yourself out in western Colorado (like one never does <EMOJI seq="1f602" tseq="1f602">😂</EMOJI>), there's a giant water tank that's been converted into a recording studio. This would sound awesome in there!

Nice! It's a great space! You can build up some incredible stuff there. I've done a few solo records there. It's a really well set up recording studio! Just back from Western CO a few hours ago, wish I could've gone back this trip.
Killer that you got out there- did the Ars Nove vocal group do anything there? There's a lovely Room Full of Teeth record from the Tank

Yes! Ars Nova put out a few videos from a concert and recording session done there in June. Here's a few links:

Harrison : Your piece sounds very much like a meditation, but I can easily see where your inspiration came from with the Duet and Open Space idea. Congratulations !
This post led on toward the recordings done in the "Tank". I was amazed to hear that choral music in that environment was almost the same as the many choral recordings I've done at St. Matthew's Cathedral in Washington, D.C. It is, like the "Tank", a highly reverberant space and enables pieces like the William Byrd Agnus Dei to positively "glow". I believe that the cathedral had a 5 second decay. The "Tank" seems to have about the same. I'm sure that the considerable financial difference between building a Cathedral and appropriating an abandoned water tank will tilt favorably towards more water tanks being repurposed !

Amazing - thank you so much for sharing! I think I remember that concert announcement from the email list. That's awesome you got to sing with a choir there!
Here's the solo records I did- I love that space!

It would be an amazing place to get a large group of trombones!

The Tank goes quite a bit longer than that, but has a pretty noticable decay after 4-5 seconds. A lot of sounds take about 20 seconds or so to fully go away- really quick learning curve to not make any unintentional sounds while it fades!
Is there a place to find the recording of that Byrd piece recorded in St Matthews? It would be really amazing to hear the 3 and 4 voice masses in a Cathedral like that!

Oh wow!!
William, you gave me a chill on that one! You sound fantastic and really made it your own. The forte's were powerful.
I'm so happy that you played it!
(What is that crazy hall you're playing in?)

Glad you liked it!
This was in a medium sized recital hall at the new Ostrava University - crazy reverb for such a small space!
