Anybody ever played this piece, Liszt’s Gaudeamus Igitur? It’s on a series of outdoor classical concerts this weekend. I’ve never heard of it. I can’t find any recordings on youtube, imslp, or Apple music. Any normal cuts or places to start? I’m flyin’ blind here.

Yeah, I know. I’m looking for the orchestra arrangement, Kalmus Edition.

IMSLP does indeed have a full score for chorus and orchestra, a Kalmus edition even, for a piece by that name.

It appears to be undemanding for trombones. The score seems to offer a possible cut if the piece is performed without chorus.

Wow! Thanks!

I must have been blind when I looked. First and only rehearsal told me there’s nothing to worry about.
