Anyone familiar with the differences between the M and ML cups on small shank? What would they be comparable to?

I could be mistaken, but the ML cup is pretty bowl shaped. Very similar to a G cup on Bach mouthpieces (12ML = 5G).
The S cup that Karl offers is a little too V shaped for my liking and I’ve found that the M cup is a great hybrid of the too.
I played a 14S for a decade and eventually switched to a AR 25.10. But I used a 13M on my flugabone and really like that mouthpiece. I’ve been thinking about having Karl make a custom piece with my rim size with his M cup just to see what that would be like. I feel like I’d really like it, and with him being local it could be a fun thing to mess around with. Maybe one day…

Do you have any idea how deep it is compared to a 5G or 5GS?

I don’t know that. Sorry! I bet Karl would though. Shoot him an email.

I don't know about the 12ML, but I've got a 13ML (the 6.5ish sized piece . Cup wise, it's much closer to my small shank Bach 5G than any of the 6.5 pieces I've got. Nice mouthpiece- gets a really thick on the medium bore I use it for sometimes (but not my main for that horn).
