At that time Conn had taken over the Isaac Fiske company in Worcester MA and some instruments of the period are labeled Elkhart, Ind. and Worcester, MA (like my 1892 tuba).

The Elkhart and New York engraving indicates that it may have been made for Carl Fischer. I don't think Conn had bought out an instrument company in New York State.

Wow - Look at that bell, looks soldiered too? I bet that thing has a really dark-dark core that could punch a hole through concrete, or at least blow about a dozen WW players right out of their chairs. :)
