A friend has a 12C<EMOJI seq="2b50" tseq="2b50">⭐️</EMOJI> and I have a 12C.
What’s the difference? They look and measure the same, but play very differently.
Any insight would be appreciated.

I have had the same question regarding Olds 1 vs Olds 1<EMOJI seq="2b50" tseq="2b50">⭐️</EMOJI>, and Olds 3 vs Olds 3<EMOJI seq="2b50" tseq="2b50">⭐️</EMOJI>
Perhaps the <EMOJI seq="2b50" tseq="2b50">⭐️</EMOJI> versions are sprinkled with fairy dust? :idk:

The star used to mean standard small shank. Non-star meant Olds-small shank, and would sit further in on other horns.
The reason they play differently probably has to do with the backbore/Venturi relationship that you are manipulating.
