Are y'all playing on a dual or single bore slide?

Anyone know if Markey plays on a dual bore?

I'm playing dual. I have a single bore Bach 50 slide that I don't particularly like with the Edwards. I don't have a single bore Edwards to compare to.

I started on the single then went to the dual. The valve register was much more even in both sound and feel for me with the dual bore. I got the gut feeling that the horn was mostly designed and tested with the dual bore (it just worked better).

Dual bore here. Didn't like the feel of the single bore Edwards. I have a single Bach slide that I've tried a couple times and it plays ok but I prefer the dual

I have both. I play my dual bore 95% of the time. Both work great.

Back when I had one I used the dual bore. Regret trading it for a Shires!

You guys are making me jealous. I think I would have really liked the 502d, dependant version.

I remember when Edwards couldn’t give away the dep models and now I see all these posts wanting one.

It was designed for Gerry Pagano who plays a single bore and Jim Markey who plays a dual bore.

Just most players prefer a more open sound that comes with a dual bore when it has rotors. I use a single when I play Thayers and a dual with a play rotors.

When I got mine I ended up going with the single bore slide. I tried out the last dependent 502 and an independent 502, the Artist rotors are good enough that there wasn't that big of a difference.
