This is a ~1983-1984 King 2b+ 2115 gold brass bell trombone

Serial number 940xxx on the bell section.

513G is stamped on the slide section.

The outer slide has a small patch in an odd place near the the right hand brace (see picture). It’s solid. It has had a recent slide job. There is no stocking wear on the inners. The slide plays light and fast. The gold brass slide leadpipe has a slightly larger venturi than its yellow brass cousin.

The bell section as some scratches, lacquer wear on the goose neck, hand holding area, and part of the outer bell. No counterweight. There is some evidence of small dent repair work on the tuning slide.

The gold brass bell helps give the horn a nice warm core to the tone. When pushed it can play bright. The bell has sufficient weight for nice jazz lead sound in a big band.

The case is the original coffin case. The interior condition is terrific. All latches work perfectly. Other than scuffs from over the years, the exterior is solid and excellent.
