Does anyone have experience with this? Given the variety of stuff the pops up on Google, it looks like this is a common problem.

Specifically, on mine it appears that album art only gets missing for certain tunes that I installed a little while ago and were then missing album art, and uninstalling and re-syncing those albums results in still-missing album art even though album art is shown on my Windows Media Player on my PC. There are two problems:

I don't know if the reason for the failure is my phone or Windows Media Player.

I don't want to install a music cover art app on my phone, as sometimes software to help fix issues like this have malware.

My suspicions point to Windows Media Player, not the phone . . .

Not sure of the reason, but I am curious as to why you are worried about it? The only time I'm listening to music from my phone is through headphones, or bluetoothed through my car stereo. Neither times am I looking for, or interested in cover art.

Obviously it's not a big deal. Having the art in the phone makes it easier to flip through the album list.
