Before anyone gets their knickers in a twist about someone hacking up a Williams, please consider the alternate (and, IMHO, more likely) scenario that this is a custom instrument assembled around a "leftover" Donelson bell (there was a discussion of a BAC Williams 4 here: <LINK_TEXT text="viewtopic.php?p=238531#p238531">https://trombonechat.com/viewtopic.php?p=238531#p238531</LINK_TEXT> that went along those lines).
This is one of those situations where the proof is in the pudding (or, in this case, playing). There doesn't seem to be much Williams 8 there, but that doesn't mean it doesn't play well - though I would not expect it to play much like a Williams 8.
