For sale is an older Schilke 59 bass trombone mouthpiece from back when the Remington/Conn style shank was standard on all of their mouthpieces.
Great condition - no damage or issues, shank is straight and round.
Asking $45 which includes shipping & insurance to the USA.
I have a couple photos ready to send, just ask.
Thanks! :good:

Hello, I might be interested in this mouthpiece. Do you have any idea if the taper fits old King bass trombones? (81-82 King 8b). Please send the photos if you don't mind. Thank you.

I don't think it's a perfect fit, as you obviously know those old Kings have somewhat of a unique receiver taper. It does fit better than a standard Bach/Morse taper though in terms of seating itself without wobble in the receiver. That was my experience with my mid-70's Duo Gravis anyway. I had to send off my slide to have a few mouthpieces made with shanks that fit right. Two of those I don't use anymore, if you'd be interested in them: a heavyweight and a lightweight Stork 1.5
For what it's worth, Doug Elliot makes shanks with a specialized taper to fit older King horns.
