What Mouthpiece should I get

I'm going into my sophomore year of high school. I'm in my school's top band and marching band. I have a Hammond 12L for marching band, and I have a blessing 5G for concert band. I'm looking into a Greg Black, but before I invest $400 into a mouthpiece, I just wanted feedback on if there are any other mouthpieces I should get. I currently play a Bach 42BO Trombone for concert band, and our school has Yamaha marching baritones (We don't march trombone). Thank you!

I would invest my money in lessons with a good teacher. You already have good mouthpieces. Why not use the Hammond for both?

I`m with Bruce. you have 2 fine mouthpieces now.
Who are you studying with? How much do you practice a day? Playing in Band doesn`t count

100% agree with Bruce and Duke. Spending (wasting?) $400 on a Greg Black mouthpiece will not make you a better trombonist. Lessons from a competent trombone teacher and diligent practice will!

A Hammond 12L i very deep. Maybe you like that? If not you could try 12M which is less deep or a 12MXL which is better i have many Hammond mouthpieces and the L size (12L or 11L) is what I find less usable, maybe to cover a bass trombone part. The 12M is the one I like the best

Darth uses the (deep) Hammond 12L for a Yamaha marching baritone, not a trombone.
For concert band, he plays a Bach 42BO trombone with a Blessing 5G mouthpiece - a perfectly reasonable combination for anyone, especially a 15-year-old high school sophomore.
My recommendation remains: Stick with the 5G, take lessons, practice, improve, re-evaluate in a year or two.
