I just recently picked up a Shires 11C.
My first impression is that it is in between a Bach 6 3/4C and a 6 1/2AL.
I brought it along on my jazz brunch trio gig on Sunday….along with two 6 3/4Cs.
Between it and the two Bachs I kept coming back to the Shires. It took a bit more work, but it pays off in fullness of tone. The rime is very comfortable.
I’m really liking it.

The Shires 11C is what came with my Shires alto trombone. I think it's a good match, but a little on the heavy side for that horn. But now I use a Wedge 6 1/2 Jazz mouthpiece in the alto.
