This is Andy Martin playing Frank Rossolino's "Blue Daniel" about 13 years ago. I'm posting it because I like the approach and it is a melding of two of my favorite jazz trombone players.

Lovely way of arranging that tune. Although I have to say that I like this tune more in 4/4 time and at faster speed. As played by the maestro himself on that live recording in Copenhagen. Fun tune to play, too!

I prefer it in 4/4 too. But I love to hear tunes done in a variety of ways, and appreciate when someone of Andy's caliber gives his take on something by someone of Frank's caliber. And I do love Andy's take. But there is only one Frank Rosolino.

Rob McConnell did a cool arrangement of this. Starts in 4/4 and ends in 3/4. It's a great tune.
