Anyone have thoughts/experience with these?

It's odd they list a bag for a 9" bell bass. Is this a typo? Does it fit 9.5"?

Title of the threat says "Hard bass trombone bags". You might mean Gard, correct?

If that's correct: I have heard multiple times that Gard's descriptions are misleading.

I think that's the one I have. It does kind of fit a regular bass. Only tried it with a single valve 60h until now. But it's still tight. And I think that extra cushion that they provide seems too much to put it in there. If you are interested in details, I could send you some details 1:1

I have one that is similar to the Cronkite bags with the slide section inside (G series?). The insert provides fair protection for the slide, but the outside doesn't do a lot to protect the bell. It was fine for me to toss in my car and take to gigs. I managed to fit in a trombone stand on the "other" side of the slide insert.

I wouldn't trust this in an airplane or even in a bus taking instruments to a band concert.

Some impressions from my end. I seem to have the largest (MSK 26?) bass trombone bag (couldn't find it in my mails anymore) with inside slide compartment which afaik should fit up to 10.5'' bells.

My dependent bass trombones with split triggers hardly fit inside the bag. It gets really tight around the second trigger.

Regarding protection. These bags are intended to be used with these extra cushions that they provide. Without they are imo less protective than comparable Cronkhite and Reunion Blues. I really like the cone that goes inside the bell. But the extra cushions in my experience don't really fit the way its intended. But they can be placed differently to increase protection. However as said above space is quite limited in the bags.

Summarized I think you have to test it with your specific instrument. For double trigger basses even the biggest bag might be too tight if using the extra cushions which are necessary for protection. For single trigger it might be great because these bags are relatively lean.
