A young friend just dropped off the subject trombone and asked if I'd like to make an offer. He's trying to help a friend sell it. Knowing nothing about its history, I can only go by the condition, which is very good for what appears to be a 50+ year-old horn.
There are a couple of very minor dings in the bell and some lacquer spotting on the top of the valve section. Both slide and valve action are very good - I'd say 8/10 for each. The serial numbers are 1958XX on the valve section and 1792XX on the slide. I could not find a serial number on the bell section.
It comes with functional coffin case, a gold-plated Bach 12C and a silver-plated Bach 12C.
From our Blessing experts, I'd really appreciate some help valuing this instrument.
Thanks,
Joel

Joel, did you never get any responses to your post? I’m currently looking at buying a 1982 Blessing Artist valve trombone and am looking for information as to whether this would be a decent horn for the $600 asking price???
