Another King identity crisis

Hi all. I'm a little stumped on what exactly I ended up with here. This appears to be a King 2B, but I'm finding myself second-guessing that assumption for several reasons. The bell engraving is a very simplified King logo, nothing else. The serial number is "10XXX". I've looked at it a dozen times and pretty sure it is a "1" and not a "7". Regardless, either serial time period doesn't make any sense relative to the other characteristics. Interestingly, the serial is on the bell, the slide, and the tuning slide and matches on all of them. I don't think I've seen a serial on a tuning slide before.
This also feels like a very lightweight bell compared to the other 2Bs I have. A weird thought went through my head that this is some kind of fake or forgery. Could this have been a special order of some kind? Anyway...any King experts out there that care to weigh in some thoughts on this horn your input would be appreciated.

If it's a fake, it's a good one. Could be a Jiggs if you think it's really light, but I'll bet it's just an '80s or '90s 2B.

And then I found this... <LINK_TEXT text="viewtopic.php?t=6325">https://trombonechat.com/viewtopic.php?t=6325</LINK_TEXT>
Doesn't sound like that person really found an answer either. Other than the possibility that it might have been a special order based on the last post. I'm going to message the OP for that and see if he/she found out anything.

It's a pre-Jiggs Jiggs, light bell, shortened TS legs, light slide, tpt waterkey... there are a decent number of these out there, probably early 80s-ish, all with that custom shop 1xxxx serial. It was clearly a "standard special order" for a while. This is the first silver plated example I've seen, otherwise they're rare but not incredibly so. I've probably seen half a dozen for sale over the last few years.
