Who’s interested? Really need an audio and video editor. Let’s start the ball rolling. Music suggestions welcome. All participants and comments/suggestions welcomed. We have a good track record. Let’s keep it up.

I'll do it, depending on what equipment and knowledge I need.

If I find the time, I would also be happy to participate. Would be fine with any part from alto to bass or even contra.

Regarding music it's certainly helpful to have something relatively straightforward with little to no time changes. Outside traditional Christmas music this could also be maybe a Bach choral?

Let’s make some music suggestions. We can then decide. Nothing too complicated preferably.

This is always fun and has come out good the last few times we did this.

Being able to provide a video/audio of yourself playing is the basic requirement. We usually have multiple folks on a part so you get some help. The video/audio editor person does the REAL magic to make it sound and look great.

Stay tuned for further requirements as we select a piece of music. Nothing too complicated.

I did it last year and learned a lot about recording. It was fun and I wouldn't mind doing it again this year

The first TC choir in 2020 was going to do Carol of the Bells but pivoted when the arrangement didn't lend itself to a virtual ensemble. This arrangement looks friendlier for virtual ensemble: [url]https://youtu.be/9u0h2LLkDmY?si=dXXyv1m9HUgMwzrb. No dedicated contrabass part though.

Here's the link to the selling site: [url]https://musicforbrass.com/trombone-christmas-music.html. It's got a variety of difficulties and ensemble sizes. I looked for high school / college difficulty (not college / advanced pro) and more than 4 parts.

Cheers,

Shawn

I'm happy to fill the Mike Miller role of making the Google spreadsheet, recording instructions, and folder to store files. It would be great if someone can compile the audio. I'm working on a home project right now with multiple trombones plus hammered dulcimer. It's great fun and I'm learning a lot, but mixing the trombones is taking a ton of time. I don't have the skill to do a Christmas choir well and quickly.

If you want to use this you may. Everyone gets a solo, everyone gets a close-up.

I can't organize it this year, i can't edit it this year, I can't beg people to get their part in this year... but if someone else is curious about wrangling one of these videos, this one is simple enough and short enough that it would make a good first project.

And time is so short now that simple is what you want.

I'm glad to play this time if someone else want to do the heavy lifting. As for music, if someone has a set of the Trombone Christmas books, that might be an easy way to go. They could scan the parts and put them on google drive or similar. I think that is a 6 part arrangement of about 30 tunes.

I think we have the video editor and click maker. Need audio editor and music. I have created a folder for the data. I do not have enough experience to pick the music. We need to get this rolling. Nothing too difficult. should be fun.

Hi All..this seems stuck…any progress? I’d offer to help but my skills barely cover playing trombone ; ))
