Mouthpiece similar to Bach 6 3/4 / Yamaha SL-47L

Hello again,
I've been doing a lot of research on mouthpieces.... maybe a bit too much. I currently am using a basically brand new yamaha SL-47L for my large shank trombone, though I do also have a SL-48L (pretty much a 6 1/2AL) but the 48 just doesn't work right for me. Additionally, I am going for a brighter sound as I play first in a "symphonic" band and a jazz band.
I am looking for something similar in rim size to the 47, as I can't stand how breathy it is and how small the throat is, but I don't like the throat and rim size of the 48. I have recently been looking at a DW 9BL, Schilke 47, or Doug Elliot 99.
I would appreciate some recommendations on what I should get. The only things I worry about are the rim curvature/flatness, I find that the roundness of the yamaha works good for me. Thanks in advance.

The Schilke 47B has a bigger throat and a brighter sound than the Schilke or Yamaha 47. The throat is in between the size of the Yamaha 47 and 48. The B cup is on the shallow side, enhancing brightness. If you really get interested in that, I might be persuaded to sell one. I've been on the fence, but I am trending toward bigger rims.

I play a similar sized mouthpiece and have tried so many of the 6 3/4 sized options. Although I've tried small shanks, so I'm not sure how much this will help.
Here's what I've tried
AR 25.10
Laskey 50
Schilke 47C4
Doug Elliott 99 rim
Greg Black 7C
Alex Iles mouthpiece (schilke, maybe greenhoe?)
Denis Wick 9BS (also have tried 7CS and 10CS)

My LT 99, D+, D+8 would probably be a good choice.
Any smaller and it wouldn't really work well in a large bore horn.

I heard Megumi Kanda on this set up with a different rim and she sounded absolutely phenomenal. Although it’s really hard to imagine her sounding not great on anything!

I believe the O.P. is looking for a <I>large-shank</I> mouthpiece for his large-bore tenor trombone, so I don't think these recommendations are very useful.
I think I'd start with Doug Elliott's recommendations [LT series, D or D+ Cup and Shank] - although for me, I might choose a slightly larger rim (LT 100).

Most people would choose a larger rim, but there are some who really need to stay small.
I have not seen the OP play, so I'm guessing based on what has been posted.

I appreciate all the recommendations, and yeah it's for a large bore tenor. I will probably look into a Doug Elliot soon since most of the smaller rim mouthpieces have very small throats/cup sizes.
I'm not sure why but anything larger than the 47 just doesn't work right for my lips, I've tried the 5G and it sounds great but I just can't handle the rim, thank you for all the recommendations.

When you're ready, if I can see and hear you play, I can probably fine-tune my suggestion. With my stuff you can put together virtually anything out of my stock parts.
And smaller than 99 if that's what you need.

That's what's nice about the Doug Elliott system - you can get the Rim diameter you need (for your lips) coupled with the Cup volume/depth and Throat diameter appropriate to your trombone and the music you want to play.
A Yamaha 47 and a Bach 5G are worlds apart! For most manufacturers (Bach, Schilke, Yamaha, Wick, ...), the larger the Rim, the larger the Cup and Throat. And you have to like their Rim profile, which is usually common to all sizes in their catalog. (I don't love Bach Rims.) Doug's Rims seem (to me) comfortable, and everything else about each mouthpiece set is pretty customizable.
