Laskey 67SY for bass trombone?

Currently I play on a YEO and lately I've been looking for something a bit more balanced, I love the YEO and don't have tone issues or anything like that on it but I don't need to be playing on the premium toilet bowl 24/7.

I was looking for something like a 2G equivalent and Laskey's website does say the 67 does is comparable to a 2G and I was wondering,

1. Would the symphonic version or solo version be better?(I play bass for both my schools concert and jazz band and my local youth symphony.)

2. What might be some other options around that quality/size/price (230 is about as much as I'll want to spend) and what could be better for both jazz and symphonic playing?

Thanks!

If you want a 2G size, buy a Yamaha 58. The laskey is a tenor piece and will not suit the horn.

You can purchase a brand new Yamaha 58 bass trombone mouthpiece for less than $70.

Probably a good choice for you.
